Senior Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor

About the Opportunity

At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we

achieve this we are seeking an
experienced Senior Health Safety & Wellbeing Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Manager Health, Safety & Wellbeing,
you'll provide hands-on, practical HSW advice, guidance and leadership across
Council's diverse field and office-based operations. You'll build capability in
our leaders and workers and help drive a Safety Always culture.

To succeed in this role you will have:

• A degree-level
  qualification in work health and safety, or an equivalent combination of
  qualifications and experience.
• Certificate IV in
  Training & Assessment, and formal qualifications in auditing and
  investigations.
• A current C class
  driver's licence and Construction Induction (White) Card.
• Thorough knowledge of
  WHS legislation, regulations, codes of practice and principles, including
  injury management and workers compensation in NSW.
• Demonstrated experience
  in risk management, incident investigation, assurance activities, and
  rehabilitation and return-to-work case management.
• High-level written and
  verbal communication skills and strong digital literacy, with the ability
  to turn data into meaningful insights for audiences from field staff to
  Executive.

On a typical day you'll be:

• Advising leaders,
  workers and stakeholders on WHS and injury management legislation, codes
  of practice and Council's HSW policies and procedures.
• Facilitating risk
  assessments for complex and high-risk activities, and designing and
  verifying critical controls in the field.
• Leading incident
  investigations and working with stakeholders to make sure corrective
  actions are implemented, closed out and effective.
• Managing workers
  compensation, injury management and recovery-at-work cases, and liaising
  with our insurer and scheme agent.
• Delivering assurance
  activities, including critical control checks, audits, inspections and
  contractor on-site verification.
• Coaching leaders and
  delivering training, workshops and education programs to build safety and
  wellbeing capability.
• Analysing safety data to
  produce HSW performance reporting for the Safety Committee and Executive.

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per
week

Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $112,296.82 to $125,694.47 depending on skills and experience

Opportunity for performance-based increase available achieving agreed goals.

This role
also qualifies for a Leaseback or Vehicle allowance
