JOB DETAILS:
2 x Permanent Full Time 35 hours, 5 days/week $111,867.28 to $122,577.95

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Head of Governance, the role sits within the Governance, Legal and Procurement Department of Liverpool City Council and is part of the Governance Team.
The role will see you providing governance support and assisting the Head of Governance on a range of complex and routine governance matters.
Some of your duties will include researching and developing policy on corporate governance, providing independent probity reviews of procurement processes, managing, directing, and handling a diverse and complex range of complaints management activities and determining applications for the release of documents under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA).

ABOUT YOU:
Our desired candidate will be experienced in communicating, consulting and liaising effectively with a range of stakeholders and have demonstrated experience in drafting reports, policies and correspondence and interpreting and apply legislation across a broad range of governance matters.

  • To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated experience in governance, with experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:
  1. Policy development, implementation and monitoring
  2. GIPA and/or Privacy
  3. Statutory Compliance and/or Probity
  4. Investigations and Complaints Handling
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety practices, the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity, ethical practice and multi-cultural diversity
