1 x Permanent Full Time -35 hours, 5 days per week
Salary: $106,129.55- $116,290.83 pa with a leaseback vehicle + super

ABOUT THE ROLE

Liverpool City Council is guiding this rapid transformation and is seeking experienced professional Senior Building Surveyors to contribute to the development of our growing community in a beautiful urban and rural environment.

The diverse and challenging role will provide you with an opportunity to work in a mix of high rise urban, greenfield residential and rural situations. The role also provides assistance to the Coordinator in mentoring the Certification team.

You will carry out critical stage inspections for all classes of buildings, assess and determine Construction Certificates, Occupation Certificates, Complying Development Certificates and Building Certificates for all classes of buildings in accordance with relevant Acts and Regulations. You will also be required to communicate well in clarifying requirements and conveying information to a diverse client group.

ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant will have:

  •  A Degree or Graduate Diploma in Building, Engineering, Construction or equivalent
  • To be a registered certifier who holds a minimum Building Surveyor – Restricted (Class 1 and 10 buildings) (formally A3)
  • Experience in assessing and determining Construction Certificates, Occupation Certificates, Complying Development Certificates and Building Certificates for all classes of buildings in accordance with relevant Acts and Regulation
  • Demonstrated experience in carrying out critical stage inspections for all classes of buildings;
  • Knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993, Building Code of Australia, and other related legislation.
