Step into the role of Duty Officer – Leisure Operations and lead a team of dedicated lifeguards committed to keeping our community safe; this is a Seasonal role from September 2025 until April 2026.

As the main point of contact on site, you’ll manage daily operations, oversee equipment and handle essential administrative duties. Most importantly, you’ll provide strong leadership and support to your team, ensuring every visitor enjoys a safe and positive experience. Key Responsibilities

As the Duty Officer you will:

  • Provide on-site day-to-day supervision of lifeguards, ensuring that public safety and lifeguard standards are maintained
  • Utilise your expertise in pool operations, plant maintenance and hygiene standards to maintain high-quality facilities in compliance with NSW Health Guidelines
  • Maintain all relevant records onsite to adhere to industry standards and guidelines
  • Ensure all WH&S procedure checklists and inspections are completed
  • Play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience for all patrons

Your Profile

If you are motivated, reliable, possess excellent communication skills and passionate about aquatic safety and customer service, we want to hear from you!

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential experience, qualifications, and licences:

  • First Aid Certificate, Pool Lifeguard Licence (RLSS), and Pool Operations Certificate
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising staff in a customer-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of water treatment, hygiene standards, and NSW Health Regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve operational goals.
  • Have a strong background in aquatics and facility management, with a focus on safety and customer service

  • Hours of work:We are currently recruiting Seasonal Temporary Part Time position up to 15 hours per week. These opportunities are expected to be available from 14 September 2026 until 25 April 2027. Applicants must be willing to work across a 7 day a week spread (Monday-Sunday) across our various Leisure Centres, and available to across the spread of hours that the facility is open (4.30am - 9.00pm) to support the operational requirements of our Centres.
  • Package:$75,838 - $80,389 gross pa (full time equivalent) plus 12% super. Salary will be paid pro rata to part time hours worked. Weekend penalty rates will be paid as applicable.

Suitable candidates are subject to pre-employment screening which includes Reference Checks, Work Rights Verification, Identity and Functional/Medical History Checks, and will also include a Criminal History, Qualification and Working with Children Check. Employment is subject to clearance of all these checks.
