  • 1x Permanent part time role - minimum 25 hours per week

About the role

The Reception Officer plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality customer service at Council's Lake Haven recreation Centre. This position involves being the first point of contact for visitors, providing them with essential information about our facilities, programs, and services.

The successful candidate will assist in supervising public entry, managing memberships, and maintaining a welcoming reception area. The Reception Officer will also perform various administrative tasks while ensuring an excellent customer experience.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • experience selling memberships in a gym or leisure centre environment will be highly regarded
  • extensive experience in cash handling, reconciliation and operating a computerised point of sale equipment
  • experience working in a high paced customer service role
  • knowledge and experience in the use of a computerised member/customer management system (database)
  • the ability to participate and actively contribute in a team environment to achieve organisational goals
  • a strong customer service ethos and a demonstrated customer-centric approach to service provision
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse audience

Other important information

  • The commencing salary for this position is up to $29.66 per hour. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $34.36 on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus12% superannuation
  • We have a 1x permanent part-time role and casual positions available
  • This role is located at the Lake Haven Recreation Centre

Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
