Your role as a Rear Loader Driver
As a Rear Loader Driver, you’ll play a vital role in delivering waste and recycling services across the Shire. This is a Monday to Friday position, working a 9‑day fortnight, with early starts commencing from 4:00am.
You’ll operate rear loader waste vehicles safely and efficiently, complete pre‑start checks, assist with collection activities, and carry out basic vehicle care and maintenance. This is a hands‑on, physically active role where your work directly contributes to the cleanliness, presentation and liveability of the local area.
About You:
You’re dependable, safety‑conscious and take pride in delivering essential services to the community. You work well in a team environment and understand the importance of reliability and professionalism.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Acurrent HR Class driver licence (essential)
- Experience in waste services or a similar driving/operations role
- Physical fitness to manage manual handling and outdoor work
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Basic data entry and mobile device skills
- Knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle Law
- Familiarity with Sutherland Shire streets and suburbs (advantageous)

- Package:$77,926 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work:Permanent Full-time 38 hours per week 9-day fortnight
