Program Leader Towards Zero Waste

Lead Council’s Towards Zero Waste Strategy, circular economy initiatives and waste education programs. This role coordinates policy, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, service reviews and technical advice to support sustainable waste and resource management outcomes. You will work with internal services, government agencies, industry partners, contractors and the community to deliver practical improvements, support major contracts and help shape future waste services in the Blue Mountains.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in waste, resource management and circular economy, including policy, strategy and systems development.
  • Strong stakeholder, community and industry engagement skills, with experience developing partnerships.
  • High-level project management, budgeting, organisational and team leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and a record of success in leading, managing and developing teams.

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $130,844 gross per annum

+ 12% superannuation

+ annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)

+ annual award increase
