About the Opportunity

This position is responsible for overseeing Council’s procurement and contract management functions, while providing high-level advice and support to the CEO, General Managers, Manager Financial Services, and business units on procurement, contracts, and related matters.

 

What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

  • Degree or Diploma qualifications in business or related discipline with relevant experience or lessor formal qualification with extensive experience in procurement, contract management or related fields.
  • Experience in the use, implementation, and administration of information systems and business software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop a small team of professional staff, fostering high performance and accountability.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build productive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing reports, correspondence and presentations, and communicating information clearly and effectively.


Salary and conditions

The position is classified within Band 7 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $108,138 per annum statutory superannuation.
