We're currently searching for a skilled and highly motivated Civil Engineer Traffic & Transport to join our organisation in a full-time capacity.

About the Opportunity

In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in delivering traffic, transport and road safety outcomes for the community. You will provide specialist engineering advice, assess traffic and road safety matters, and contribute to the development of transport infrastructure strategies and projects. Working closely with stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation, you will help deliver practical solutions that support a safe, connected and sustainable municipality.


What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or other appropriate degree in Engineering with relevant experience in Civil Engineering and road infrastructure works.
  • Experience in traffic engineering assessments and road safety standards.
  • Experience in road infrastructure designs and project management.
  • Ability to analyse problems and make decisions on a day to day basis.
  • Customer service experience including communication and influencing skills
  • Computer experience including Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and simulation software.
  • Eligible for membership in the Institution of Engineers of Engineers, Australia
  • Current Police Check or Willing to Obtain
  • A current Driver’s Licence


Salary and conditions

The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $96,410.60 plus statutory superannuation.
