Planning Administration Officer

As a key member of the Planning and Development Services team, you will primarily assist the public with general town planning enquiries and provide administrative support across the various planning teams. Reporting to the Manager Statutory Planning, this role provides administrative support for a range of application types and development approval stages managed by technical officers.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, and change-driven environment. You will possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. You take pride in your high attention to detail, have strong time management skills, and demonstrate sound computer literacy.
Ideally, you will bring experience within a Local Government environment or have a good understanding of statutory planning processes; however, this is not essential.
This is a temporary opportunity for up to three months, with the potential for extension subject to organisational requirements.

- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Developed customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- High level of keyboard/computer literacy skills
- Sound knowledge of MS Office suite of products and administrative procedures
- Current “C” Class driver’s licence
This position offers a gross salary of $86,797 per annum (pro-rata for part-time hours) and in addition we offer:
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5% - that’s a total of 22%

This is a part-time job share position of 20.5 hours per week. The working hours are initially Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday for training and office coverage and then changes to Wednesday (4 hours), Thursday (8.5 hours) and Friday (8 hours).
