Reporting to the Director Operations, this is a critical leadership role responsible for driving excellence in project delivery across Council. As Manager Project Management Office, you will lead and manage a centralised PMO function, acting as the custodian of Council's Project Management Framework. You will play a key role in uplifting organisational project management capability by introducing and embedding standardised methodologies, governance practices and change management approaches across the organisation.
You will provide strategic oversight and high-level coordination of Council's project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and successful delivery of key programs and capital works. Leading a small specialist team, you will drive consistency, improve reporting and governance, and provide expert advice to senior leadership, Councillors and stakeholders on project performance, risks and outcomes.
To be considered, you will have tertiary qualifications in project management, business or a related discipline, along with relevant project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP or PMBOK. You will bring extensive experience across project, program and portfolio management, ideally within a complex or public sector environment, with a proven ability to lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams.
