Library Courier (Job Share)
- Salary $60,495.24to $70,156.32p/a pro-rata + super
- Job Share: Permanent part time position (20 hours per week)

About the role
As a Library Courier, you will safely transport library materials between branches and support the movement of library resources and equipment across various sites. You will deliver library materials and resources to Home Library Service members at their place of residence including aged care facilities and private homes. You will also work closely with Home Library Services to assist with administration, collection maintenance and Home Library member support.
Working in a job share arrangement, you’ll collaborate closely with another courier to ensure seamless service coverage throughout the week.
Reporting to theLibrary Futures & Technology Coordinator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Safe transport of library and other materials and items.
- Plan to ensure pick-ups and deliveries are completed accurately in the most efficient manner.
- Co-operate with co-workers to create a smooth workflow.
- Maintain and care for Library vehicle and equipment as per Council’s requirements.
- Safe driving behaviours and abide by NSW road safety rules.
- Provide high quality customer service for both internal and external customers
- Communicate effectively with library customers
Required skills & experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently under minimal supervision as required.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to provide polite and helpful service to the public, work cooperatively with team members, and assist in resolving day-to-day issues as they arise.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with a flexible approach to work.
- Ability to perform duties related to courier deliveries including physical ability to carry out all required tasks.
- Basic computer literacy, including word processing, email and spreadsheets
