The City is seeking a qualified Light Vehicle & Minor Plant Mechanic to provide high quality mechanics services at industry standards, for the maintenance and enhancement of City light vehicles and minor plant.  The incumbent will also assist when required with the maintenance and repair of relevant City assets.

Reporting to the Team Leader Workshop, this position will support the City by: 

  • Perform repair and maintenance of light vehicles and minor plant equipment.
  • Record mechanical tasks carried out on mobile and fixed equipment.
  • Operate as part of a team of trades persons, offering quality services on a competitive financial basis.
  • Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and procedures, and other frameworks.

This role is based in Osborne Park, in a clean and well organised depot workshop. Offering great family friendly hours and work life balance.

To be successful in this role you will be able to work closely with a team of tradespersons and engage with internal stakeholders across the City.

You will also be to work with external stakeholders including suppliers, panel beaters and repair agents.
