The Opportunity
As an ICT Project Officer in the City of Perth, you will support the delivery of ICT digital transformation projects by assisting the ICT Project Manager with project coordination, scheduling, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and project administration. This role helps ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with the City’s project governance frameworks.
Reporting to the ICT Project Manager, your responsibilities would primarily include:
- Assisting in developing, reviewing and modifying project plans, ensuring timelines, budget and deliverables are accurately tracked;
- Undertaking research and analysis of existing business issues, policies and procedures to identify trends and provide recommendations for consideration by the project;
- Liaising with key stakeholders of the project to ensure stakeholder requirements are met, including participation in negotiations; and
- Ensuring projects are properly maintained and updated for successful delivery in accordance with the City’s project management governance and framework procedures/practices
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies, governance, frameworks, procedures and practices, including iterative approaches such as Waterfall and Scrum;
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience in operating project management systems and project software i.e. MS Project, Jira, DevOps;
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication along with experience writing and maintaining project documentation and reports; and
- Qualifications or certified training in project management or direct experience in ICT project management, for example PRINCE2.
