  • Salary $32.68 per hour (includes 25% casual loading) + superannuation. Penalty rates apply for weekend work.

In this casual role you will be part of our passionate Health and Fitness Crew who take pride in working together to enhance the fitness of Central Coast Council residents and guests. Along with your expertise in developing and delivering tailored personal fitness programs, you will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and a customer centric approach which ensures clients are able to meet their fitness goals in a safe and supportive environment.

The successful applicants will be employed on a casual day-to-day basis and will be required to work various shifts from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 6.00am and 9.00pm.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include: 

  • Deliver supervision and fitness programming for clients using the health and fitness centre to enable participants to achieve their personal development goals and improve the health and fitness of the community;
  • Ensure participant safety at all times through provision of safe activities and continual surveillance of fitness centre users;
  • Maintain excellent and ongoing customer focus within the business, to ensure a positive experience for all users.

Essential requirements include:

  • Registered Fitness Professional – Gym Instructor;
  • Current Provide First Aid qualification (HLTAID 003 / HLTAID 011);
  • Current Provide Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID 001 / HLTAID 009);
  • Working with Children Check Clearance Number or Application Number as per Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013, or willingness to obtain prior to any offer of employment;
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering personal health & fitness programs;
  • Demonstrated experience working in a sport, fitness or well being environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace change and commitment to work across multiple work locations and across the spread of hours 6am – 9pm Monday to Sunday.
