About the Opportunity

At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work
together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. To help us achieve
this we are seeking a progressive, energetic leader to drive excellence in
our Infrastructure Planning and Design Group.As Group
Manager
you will oversee a team of 25 professional staff and play a
vital role in the leadership team of the Community Infrastructure Division.

On a day-to-day basis, this role will:

  • Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day operations
    of the Infrastructure Planning and Design Group.
  • Provide oversight to the following council services
    through your team Managers and Coordinators; transport, stormwater, parks,
    playgrounds, sports fields, recreation facilities, community facilities,
    public buildings and open space assets
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and safety standards
    while promoting a safety-first culture among the team.
  • Manage service delivery within budgetary constraints.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and
    continuous improvement through effective leadership and mentorship,
    ensuring operational excellence in community infrastructure.

The Infrastructure
Planning and Design group is passionate about delivering the infrastructure,
planning and asset management outcomes our community needs today and into the
future. Our immediate priorities include shaping Council's long-term infrastructure
strategy, supporting sustainable growth across one of the fastest-growing
regions in NSW, and ensuring infrastructure investment is aligned with
community priorities, resilience outcomes and long-term financial
sustainability

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Planning, or a
    related field, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and extensive
    relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience
    in a senior leadership role including managing, coaching and developing
    teams.
  • Extensive experience in strategic infrastructure
    planning, asset management, growth planning, or related fields, including
    the development and implementation of long-term strategies, policies,
    plans and investment programs.
  • Highly developed oral,
    written, and interpersonal communication skills, with demonstrated
    stakeholder engagement and community consultation experience.
  • Experience in driving
    continuous improvement and innovation to enhance service delivery.
  • Proven ability to
    deliver customer-focused services, assess complex issues, and support
    evidence-based decision-making, integrating sustainability and resilience
    considerations into planning and operations.​​

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per
week

Starting salary in the range of $220k - $230k (inclusive of superannuation)

Option of leaseback or vehicle allowance

Relocation assistance is available for candidates moving to the region
