The Role
Reporting to the Director City
Planning and based in Windsor NSW, this position provides high level, executive
support to the Director, provides secretariat support to committees,
sub-committees and working groups and facilitates relationships and
communication between the Division and the Council Executives, Councillors,
external agencies and internal departments.
About you
You will possess highly developed communication and interpersonal
skills, with proven experience engaging effectively with stakeholders at all
levels of an organisation. Your strong organisational abilities, combined with
a proactive approach, will enable you to manage competing priorities and meet
tight deadlines. You will have previously worked in a similar role that
demanded a high degree of discretion, operating within sensitive and
confidential environments.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business / Office
Administration or relevant industry experience - Demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant, working in executive and senior management environment (within a medium to large sized organisation)
- Demonstrated judgement and exercising of political acumen
- Demonstrated ability to research and prepare draft correspondence, minutes and reports relating to planning matters.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake, prioritise and complete multiple tasks in a busy multidisciplinary environment..
- High level of computer literacy particularly
in the use of MS Office - Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Awareness and Commitment to EEO and WHS issues
- The right to live and work in Australia
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Successful applicants will be required to
undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
Desirable
- Knowledge of Local Government practices
- Knowledge of corporate data and records management systems,
including Technology One
