Council is looking for two Accounts Receivable Officers to join its Finance team.
The Accounts Receivable Officer oversees end-to-end accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate billing, effective management of outstanding accounts, timely collection of debts, and strong customer support.
What you’ll do:
- Process invoices, credit adjustments, receipts, and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements using approved documentation.
- Allocate and reconcile customer payments, ensuring account accuracy.
- Monitor outstanding accounts, follow up overdue balances, and support debt recovery.
- Resolve invoice enquiries and disputes with customers and Council staff.
- Perform reconciliations, support reporting and audits, and contribute to process improvements and team support.
- Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as reasonably directed by the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer.
What we’re looking for:
- Relevant qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, business or a related discipline or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume financial transaction processing, preferably in a medium to large organisation.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and the ability to work confidently with financial management systems.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to maintaining complete audit trails and financial records.
- Proven effective time management with the ability to work autonomously.
- Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Must hold a current C Class Drivers Licence.
What you’ll receive:
- A competitive salary $78,219.80 - $82,983.08 per year, excluding super), with annual reviews under the Enterprise Agreement
