As a Diploma Early Childhood Educator at Carrington Preschool, you will play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, compliant, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. You will facilitate meaningful play-based learning experiences while fostering positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
We are seeking an experienced educator who is committed to delivering a high-quality, child-centred curriculum that reflects our service philosophy and aligns with the National Quality Framework. Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, National Regulations, legislative and quality standards/requirements at all times.
- Fulfill all mandatory training and reporting obligations and ensure deep knowledge of current child protection legislation.
- Execute vigilant supervision and maintain compliant records for health, hygiene, and safe sleep environments.
- Assist in the implementation of an innovative and reflective early childhood education program that complies with the principles, practices and outcomes of the National Early Years Learning Framework.
- Contribute to a collaborative team through shared learning, a positive attitude, and sound communication skills.
- Provide and support an inclusive environment including for children with additional needs
- and for families.

You will have
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACEQQA approved qualification)
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Significant Harm
- Approved current Senior First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Current CPR certificate
- Completed National Child Safety training
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in providing quality learning experience and environments for young children
- Demonstrated knowledge of mandatory reporting obligations and high-level knowledge of current child protection legislation
- Knowledge and experience in implementing the National Early Years learning Framework and Child Safe Standards.
- Experience being a Responsible Person.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate positively and build trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues and embedding a child-safe culture into daily practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and development.
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $74,692 (Grade D, Step1) + 12% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
