About the role:
With a strong focus on customer service and timely decision making, you will lead a team responsible for building certification, determining small scale development applications and providing advice on building code matters.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in building certification.
- Registration as a Building Surveyor – unrestricted or as a Building Surveyor – Restricted
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team, maintain a strong customer focused service culture, and make robust, timely, and legally sound decisions in a complex regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated organisational, time management, analytical and innovative problem-solving skills that are customer and outcome focused.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills both written and oral.
- Highly developed skills to develop, implement and monitor procedures/processes and policies affecting the division.
- Demonstrated ability to apply building code solutions to existing buildings and the application of performance solutions within the level of accreditation.
- Class C Drivers License
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
