Accounting Officer
- Permanent / Full Time
- Salary: $68,489 - $76,980 gross p.a. plus 12% Super
- 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with the option of flexitime
- Located at Nowra Administration Building, Bridge Road, Nowra

About the Role
Provide professional support and deliver a high level of customer service to the Asset Accounting team and its stakeholders, with a strong focus on managing Fixed Assets and Capital Work in Progress. This includes:
- Assist in maintaining the asset register, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, impairments, revaluations, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Assist with the maintenance of asset mnemonics.
- Assist with reviewing the Capital Works in Progress and liaise with Project Managers and Asset Officers as works are nearing completion.
- Assist with reviewing the ledger transactions (both finance and works ledgers) to ensure only capital transactions are included for capitalisation.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Business/Accounting qualification or relevant workplace experience in accounting/finance, with a focus on asset accounting
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with strong customer service and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in asset accounting, particularly Fixed Assets and Capital Work in Progress, and can work effectively in a fast-paced, team-focused environment while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
