About you
We are seeking to employ a Civic & Corporate Support Officer to join our Governance & Risk department at Woollahra Council on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Senior Executive Support Officer, you will support the effective and efficient running of the Corporate and Council support activities, by providing internal customer support across the organisation in relation to printing, scanning, ordering of stationery and meeting room management along with providing administrative support to the team.
You will also act as the back up driver for the Mayor and support the Senior Executive Support Officer to maintain the Mayor’s Office and provide ongoing support to the Mayor &/or Councillors and staff in relation to Council, Committee meetings and/or events (including pre and post set up).
Due to the nature of this position, you will need to be available to work outside of normal business hours and on weekends (as required). You will be paid the relevant allowances and/or overtime in recognition of this.
About you
We are looking for an experienced team member who is able to work both independently and as part of a small team. You will have a can-do attitude and be willing to carry out various duties where no two days are ever the same.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in a corporate and/or civic support role.
- Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, flexible and punctual in carrying out duties.
- Well-developed communication skills, personable and professional.
- Demonstrated administration skills.
- Demonstrated time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Valid Class C drivers’ licence with a good driving record and comfortable driving an electric vehicle and in city traffic conditions, including during all weather conditions.
- Ability to perform required manual handling duties.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously.
- Ability to work outside of core business hours (as required).
- Demonstrated understanding of WH&S and EEO principles.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in food preparation and handling and/or Food Safety certificate or willingness to obtain Food Safety Certificate.
- Certificate in First Aid or willingness to obtain First Aid Certificate.
- Experience as a Fire Warden or willingness to undertake Fire Warden Training.
