About the role
The Major Events and Festivals team contributes to the City of Sydney’sCultural strategy 2025–2035through a series of large scale, major public and cultural events includingSydney ChristmasandSydney New Year’s Eve.
Candidates with professional experience within the events industry are encouraged to apply to be considered for casual and temporary positions.
Positions available
- 1 x Site Manager – temporary, full time between September 2026 until April 2027 ($112,986 - $126,774 per annum plus superannuation). You’ll be working Monday to Friday during pre-production periods for various events, and weekend work during event delivery where required. Penalty rates or time-in-lieu may apply for work during non-core hours.
- Multiple Site Managers – casual, as required (Hourly rate of $74.91 including 25% casual loading).
- Multiple Site Assistants – casual, as required (Hourly rate of $56.49 including 25% casual loading).
Appropriate penalty rates apply for non-core hours worked by casual positions.
About you
- Site Management experience on large scale major events and/or qualifications in Event Management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Current white card (or general construction induction card) valid in the State of New South Wales or willingness to obtain one.
