role – 50% of weekly hours based at the Manningham Civic Office, Doncaster

About the role
The
Information Management Officer supports council operations by managing incoming
and outgoing correspondence, records and information in line with legislative
and best‑practice requirements. This
role plays a key part in ensuring council information is accurate, accessible,
compliant and customer‑focused.
What
you will be doing
In this
role you will:
- Capture,
register and distribute incoming correspondence in line with council policies
and information management requirements - Process
outgoing mail, including Australia Post lodgement and associated reporting - Coordinate
scan‑on‑demand services and retrieve physical files from on‑site
and off‑site storage - Appraise,
sentence and transfer inactive records in accordance with Public Record Office
Victoria (PROV) Retention and Disposal Authorities - Support
the Freedom Of Information (FOI) processing team through accurate
administrative and records management duties - Contribute
to continuous improvement of records, mail and digital information management
processes
What we
are looking for
You are someone who has:
- Experience in records or information management,
ideally within a local government environment - Working knowledge of Content Manager (or similar
EDRMS), EzeScan and Microsoft Office - Demonstrated ability to appraise and sentence
records using Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) Retention and Disposal
Authorities - High attention to detail with the ability to
manage a high‑volume workload and meet daily deadlines - Strong customer service and communication skills
with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team - Experience with administrative work for FOI
applications is desirable
