time, 12-month position - Band 5 $81,962 +
12% superannuation + monthly RDO - Based at
the Depot, Doncaster East

operational support across infrastructure permits and asset protection - Champion
process improvements and contribute to documenting new procedures for service

About the role
The Asset
Support Officer will provide dedicated administrative and operational support
to the Infrastructure Permits team. This role ensures that public assets are
protected, community impacts are minimised, and permit processes run smoothly
and compliantly.
This is an
exciting opportunity to be part of a high‑performing team at the intersection of civil
infrastructure, regulation, and customer service. The position plays a pivotal
role in responding to public and internal inquiries, maintaining accurate
records of asset conditions and protection bonds, and supporting inspections to
ensure compliance with Council standards.
We are
seeking a proactive and solutions‑focused professional with strong
communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal
candidate will bring initiative, independence, and a collaborative approach to
balancing regulatory integrity with customer service excellence.
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive
administrative support within a complex organisation - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and
records management systems (CRM, TRIM is highly regarded) - Strong organisational and time‑management
skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure - Strong analytical and decision-making skills,
with experience resolving regulatory issues under tight timeframes - Excellent written and oral communication skills,
with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail - Experience with invoicing, financial processes,
and processing a high volume of applications - Local government experience (Desirable)
