About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this we are seeking an experienced Finance Officer - Rates to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to all aspects of the administration of Rate accounts. This includes maintaining rates and charges, managing accounts, issuing relevant certificates, reporting and responding to customer enquiries.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Certificate III in related field e.g. Finance, business or a minimum of 2 years experience in a financial role
  • Excellent data entry and keyboard skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
  • Experience using a computerised financial system and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a fast-paced office environment and work to deadlines

On a typical day this role will:

  • Processing and maintenance of rates and charges
  • Monitoring accounts and assisting with payment arrangements and direct debit applications
  • Responding to customer enquires
  • Processing 603 Certificates and Notice of Sale documents
  • Assisting in reporting and preparations for end of year financial processes

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week

Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $1,238.28 per week with the opportunity for competency-based progression.
