As a Workshop Mechanic with us, you'll embark on a journey where every task is crucial to keeping our operations running seamlessly. From scheduled maintenance to urgent repairs, you'll be the go-to expert in maintaining and enhancing the performance of our plant machinery, hydraulic equipment, and fleet vehicles.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing Proactive Maintenance: You'll be responsible for both scheduled maintenance and responding to breakdowns, ensuring that our equipment is always in top condition to meet operational demands.
  • Conducting Thorough Inspections: Your keen eye for detail will be invaluable as you conduct comprehensive inspections, identify faults, and swiftly implement solutions to maintain peak performance and efficiency.
  • Monitoring Performance: Keeping a watchful eye on plant and fleet performance, you'll proactively identify areas for improvement and implement measures to optimize efficiency and reliability.
  • Executing Maintenance Tasks: Whether it's planned maintenance or responding to urgent issues, you'll execute tasks with precision and adherence to Council's strict WHS procedures, SWMS, risk assessments, and permit to work practices, always ensuring safety and compliance.

 

Essential Criteria

  1. Trade Certificate and Licence in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Automotive or other relevant qualification, with experience delivering mechanical maintenance and repair to heavy plant and equipment.
  2. Ability to network effectively with key stakeholders in offering advice and solutions to delivering operational services.
  3. Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices effectively, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems to facilitate day- to-day operations.
  4. Ability to network effectively with key stakeholders in offering advice and support to delivering operational and maintenance services.
  5. Hold and maintain a current MR Drivers Licence, Forklift Licence and WHS Induction Card with a willingness to obtain RMS Safety Check qualification (ASCIS & HVAIS examiner).
