The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual operate, control, and report on the performance of treatment facilities and environmental monitoring requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Strategic Business Plan objectives.
As a Water Treatment Operator you will undertake sewage treatment and water treatment operations and minor maintenance activities as well as assist with the development and implementation of techniques and methods of process control which increase plant performance and efficiency. You will provide input to preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for submission to the Manager Water and Sewerage Services.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (NWP30215) or equivalent level qualifications suitable to the role and has demonstrated practical experience and capability in water treatment and/or sewage treatment operations and maintenance. (Indicative 3 years’ experience).
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Ability to operate minor plant including lifting equipment (less than three tonne).
- Knowledge of the NSW Government Regulatory environment associated with sewage treatment and drinking water treatment.
- Well-developed written, verbal and computer literacy skills, including skills in the interpretation of engineering plans, specifications and quality systems.
- An understanding of water quality matters including an understanding of Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) and NSW EPA regulatory requirements.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full time position working 38 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $77,319.42 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,327.60 per week base salary
- $159.31 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
