About the Opportunity
Join Parkes Shire Council as a Water Services Operator in the Infrastructure team.
In this role you will be required to monitor and maintain Council's water supply system, including the installation of new mains and meters, repair of services, meter reading, operation and maintenance of pumping systems, and assist with dam operations.

About You
The successful applicant will require strong communication and teamwork skills. To be successful in this position you will need to have:
- Current and maintained NSW Driver’s Licence
- SafeWork NSW Construction induction (White Card)
- Vaccinations for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus are up to date
It will be highly favorable if you possess any of the following:
- MR Truck Licence
- Water Certificate Parts 1 and 2 OR Certificate III in Water Operations
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment.
The role has been evaluated as being Grade 6 of the Council's salary structure with a commencing salary of $1,114.80 per week ($57,000 - $66,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience) plus super and salary packaging options to increase your take-home pay. The role will include being on an after hours on-call roster with an additional weekly on-call allowance of $207.00 applying the week you are rostered on.
