About the Opportunity

Parkes Shire Council is seeking a reliable and safety-focusedWater Projects Truck Driverto join our Water Projects team. In this hands-on role, you will operate Council's truck and associated plant to support the construction and maintenance of water and sewer infrastructure across the Shire.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for transporting materials and equipment, operating and maintaining plant, and undertaking a variety of civil construction and labouring duties. You will also assist Water Services Operators when required and contribute to the delivery of high-quality water and sewer services to our community.

About You

The successful applicant requires strong communication and teamwork skills. To be successful in this position you will need:

• Current and maintained NSW Driver's Licence
• SafeWork NSW Construction induction (White Card)
• MR Truck Driver's Licence
• Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience
• Demonstrate ability to contribute positively to the team environment
• Commitment to safety, reliability and high-quality service
• Up-to-date immunisations for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus(or willingness to obtain)

It will be highly favorable if you possess any of the following:

• Traffic Control Qualifications
• Certificate III in Water Operations

The appointment will be in accordance with theLocal Government (State) Awardand Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment.

The role has been evaluated as beingGrade 4of the Council's salary structure with a commencing salary of$58.151.60($29.43 per hour) to $66,874.34 ($33.84). The commencing salary to be determined upon the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful candidates.
