About the role

As the Water and Sewer Risk Specialist, you will support the Section Manager Performance and Risk in the identification, analysis and review of supply chain and personnel hazard security risks within Water and Sewer. You will also help to drive the implementation and ongoing management of infrastructure projects designed to uplift the risk management capability across the Water and Sewer business. 

This highly collaborative role will see you working closely with the operational units across the Water and Sewer directorate to support the ongoing management of supply chain and personnel hazard risk treatments across critical Water and Sewer infrastructure as well as the ongoing assessment of emerging risks. 

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Risk Management or another related field, combined with ongoing professional development. 
  • A current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Experience in the supply chain and personnel hazard security of a water utility or similar service. 
  • An understanding of risk management concepts, protocols, best practices and strategies. 
  • An understanding of SOCI legislation as it relates to critical infrastructure. 
  • Experience in the successful delivery of a range of infrastructure projects. 
  • The ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, both verbally and written.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position ranges between $99.8k to $119.9k per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • We have a permanent full-time role available.
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite.
  • This role is located at the Nexus Business Hub, North Wyong.
