Wastewater Assistant Crew Member
Permanent Full Time Opportunity
38-hour week 9-day fortnight (Rostered Days Off)
(Grade A) Salary Ranging from $56,644.12 - $65,829.40 p.a + 11% Superannuation (Depending on Experience and Qualifications)

 

The Opportunity

The purpose of this position is to provide manual labouring support to the delivery of asset reticulation services within the local government area. The position works in accordance with programmed maintenance management plans or other works as required in maintaining service delivery functions of Water Services. This position will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and at times interact with community members.

Essential Criteria

  1. Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in maintenance activities related to wastewater network assets.
  2. Proven ability in team collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skill set.
  3. Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems to facilitate day- to-day operations.
  4. Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
  5. Hold a C Class Drivers Licence and WHS Induction Card and a willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment; Confined Space Entry Certificate, Working from Heights ticket, Working Safely Near Live Electrical Apparatus certificate, Traffic Control Combo (Stop Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Plans), Asbestos Awareness training, Skid-Steer Excavator and Forklift ticket.
  6. Be Willing to Complete immunisation of Hepatitis A, B and Tetanus.
  7. Participate in on-call roster and overtime (where applicable)
