Your Position:

This is a role where your professional opinion genuinely
matters. You will be trusted to make sound decisions, work across teams, and
engage with the community in a respectful, solutions focused way.

It is hands on and thoughtful work. You might be inspecting
trees one day, contributing to policy or planting programs the next, or helping
resolve complex issues involving development, risk or insurance. No two weeks
look the same.

If you are an experienced arborist or tree management
professional who enjoys variety, trust and meaningful impact, this role offers
the chance to step into a broader, more influential space.

What you will be doing

  • Assessing
    Tree Permit and Development Applications using clear judgement and
    relevant legislation
  • Carrying
    out public tree inspections and managing risk in public spaces
  • Helping
    review and improve tree related policies, guidelines and technical
    standards
  • Managing
    and coordinating Council’s tree planting program
  • Providing
    expert advice on tree related insurance claims
  • Preparing
    court briefs and affidavits and assisting with proceedings when required
  • Working
    closely with planning, operations, community safety and other teams
  • Keeping
    inspection and asset records accurate and up to date

    What will help you thrive

    • AQF
      Level 5 in Arboriculture
    • Advanced
      certificate in Horticulture or equivalent (AQF Level 4)
    • NSW
      C Class driver’s license
    • NSW
      General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
    • Enjoyment
      of working both outdoors and in a professional office environment
    • Clear
      communication and a calm, practical approach to problem solving
    • An
      interest in improving systems, processes and outcomes over time

    Key Requirements:

    Willingness to complete pre-employment screening which may
    include: a pre-employment medical examination and police check
