Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.
TRAINEE IT SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR (Permanent Term appointment – 2 years)
The purpose of the Trainee IT Support Administrator is to assist in the maintenance and support of Council’s IT systems. Their main purpose is to help ensure that hardware, software, and networks function smoothly by providing technical support to staff, troubleshooting issues, and learning how to manage IT resources effectively.
This entry-level, Pathways 2680 traineeship is open to individuals from all backgrounds, not just recent school leavers, and is ideal for someone highly motivated, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about gaining on-the-job experience. As a trainee, you will work towards a nationally accredited qualification while acquiring practical knowledge and skills to set you up for success in the industry.
Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will require a basic understanding of computer systems, strong problem-solving skills, and good communication abilities to assist users effectively.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week.
Salary and conditions: $803.30 per week plus superannuation. Award increase applicable from July 2025. Remuneration offered will be in accordance with clause 32C wage rates of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
