As a Trainee Educator with Council’s Children’s Services team, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality programs thatsupport the development and well-being of children. Under the guidance of experienced educators, you’ll work alongside a dynamic team tocreate a safe, nurturing environmentwhere children can thrive—while you complete your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

In this role, you will assist in implementing developmentally appropriate programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). You’ll engage with children during their learning, play, and social interactions, while maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate intraining and mentoring, develop your skills, and actively contribute to a positive team culture. By providing essential support to the daily operations of the centre, you’ll gainvaluable experiencethat will shape your career in early childhood education.

We’re looking for someone with agenuine passion for working with children, who is eager to learn and grow in the field. You’ll need to have (or be willing to obtain) a Working with Children Check, a Class C driver’s licence, and a commitment to child safety and inclusive practices. As part of this traineeship, you’ll complete your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, with ongoing training and development opportunities to help you succeed.

This position is located in the beautiful town of Coonabarabran, known as the Astronomy Capital of Australia, which is midway between Melbourne and Brisbane and is known for its beautiful landscape and stunning night skies.   • Class C driver’s licence - this is essential.
