Title: Team Leader, Property, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $117656.77 to $136737.2 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

The Property, Buildings, and Beach Services Business Unit is responsible for the management of Northern Beaches Council’s extensive property portfolio, as well as the delivery of lifeguarding and beach safety services along our stunning coastline. This unit encompasses a wide range of services including Building Assets, Facilities Management, Property Management & Commercial, and Beach Services. Our aim is to ensure the effective and sustainable use of Council’s assets, providing high-quality facilities and safe, enjoyable beach experiences for our community.

Our opportunity:
As Team Leader - Property, your key responsibilities will include: 
• Manage the daily operations of the team, providing leadership, motivation, training and guidance to staff to maximise team productivity and ensure a responsive and trusted service delivery.
• Lead and oversee negotiations for new leases, renewals and rent reviews, to secure favourable terms that maximise financial returns and minimise risks to Council.
• Oversee property management, lease administration and manage critical dates to ensure timely outcomes and optimisation of the performance of Council property assets.

 

About you:
We’re looking for a dynamic property professional to motivate, develop, lead and provide guidance to one of two property teams of up to 5 team members. 
Property teams specialise in leasing / licensing of land and buildings, management of commercial operations and the development of commercial opportunities for Council. 
This is a senior role with a high level of autonomy that can have a substantial impact on Council budgets, operations and the community.
