About the Role
The Team Leader - Cleaning Service supports and supervises staff in the day-to-day operations of the Building Management Services function to ensure the work area's compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies and ensure that risks are managed. This includes:

  • Supervises and supports the Cleaning Services work group within Council to enable Council to function at an optimal level.
  • Perform commercial / industrial cleaning duties in all areas of Council's buildings - both internal and external, using industrial and commercial cleaning equipment to accepted industry standards.
  • Regular visual inspections of cleaned building asset sites to ensure a high standard of service has been provided to customers.
  • Coordinate and monitor contractors engaged by Council to undertake maintenance operations as required, ensuring compliance with WHS, WorkCover and Administration Building Security.
  • Assist with the manual placement of furniture and / or equipment for functions using appropriate manual handling techniques.
  • Assist with monitoring the performance of HVAC systems.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:

  • Possession of a Certificate III in Cleaning Operations (or equivalent relevant experience), or a demonstrated willingness to undertake and successfully complete this qualification.
  • Current National WHS Construction Card (WorkCover).
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Proof of right to work in Australia.
