- Based at Manningham Council Depot - Doncaster East

Integrated Stormwater team as a leader across Council advocating for water as a
resource and its sustainable management.

About the Role
Provide expert advice on integrated water
management (IWM), sustainable stormwater solutions, and water sensitive urban
design (WSUD), contributing to initiatives like the Manningham Flood Mapping
Project while identifying emerging industry trends and aligning local projects
with relevant policies. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement
catchment-scale strategies that enhance waterway health, reduce potable water
use, and manage WSUD assets through effective planning, documentation, and
integration with Council systems.
Skills and Experience
- Qualifications – Registered engineer or
hold relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental sustainability, science,
water resource management, or other relevant discipline. - Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge in
integrated water management, natural systems, and systems thinking. - Strategic Insight – Skilled in
identifying emerging trends and strategic issues related to sustainable water
use and quality. - Policy & Planning – Experienced in
developing policy and asset management plans for IWM infrastructure. - Project Management – Proven ability to
deliver and maintain IWM projects with a clear understanding of their strategic
context. - Communication – Strong written and verbal
communication, including reporting, consultation, and advocacy.
