As aDevelopment Supervisor, you'll play a key role in delivering quality development outcomes that support the growth of our region. From new subdivisions to essential infrastructure, you'll help ensure developments are constructed to the highest standards and meet Council's engineering requirements.

This dynamic role offers a blend of field and office-based work, combining site inspections with technical assessment and compliance monitoring.

You'll work closely with developers, contractors, consultants and Council teams to review engineering documentation, monitor construction quality, and provide practical advice across roads, drainage, water, sewer and earthworks.

Essential Criteria

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering, Certificate IV in Civil Construction or related field, or equivalent

demonstrated experience relevant to the position.

  • Experience in civil construction practices relating to roads, drainage, water, sewer and earthworks.
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake inspections and assess compliance with standards and approvals.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working within local government or development assessment environments.
  • Experience applying engineering conditions or reviewing development-related engineering documentation.
  • Knowledge of subdivision approval and construction certification processes.
  • Experience in civil testing, quality assurance or construction compliance activities.
  • Experience using engineering, CAD, GIS or asset management software.

Salary:$1,679.70 to $1,764.87 per week + 12% superannuation

Position Status:Permanent – Full-time

Hours of work:35 hours per week – Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM with an RDO every third week
