COULD THIS BE YOU?

Do you have experience in operating a range of equipment or machinery and knowledge about livestock? Are you able to interact confidently with Event Organisers and Customers as well as work in a fast paced environment? This could be the role for you!

Council are seeking a motivated and experienced operator with a strong problem solving skillset. Ideally, you will have broad experience in a wide range of plant and equipment and a willingness to undertake an array of tasks and works. Applicants with an understanding of the equine and livestock industry will be highly regarded. Your ability to communicate well and work autonomously will see you succeed in this role.

The Specialist Operator AELEC is responsible for:

  • Undertaking a variety of operational activities associated with the provision of venue services at AELEC, and other locations as required
  • Coordinating and controlling staff on the work site to ensure activities are undertaken in the appropriate sequence and to the required standard
  • Plan, program and review work for operational staff to ensure the safe, efficient and effective service delivery

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction, Horticulture, Plant or Similar OR significant relevant experience in functions associated with this position
  • Medium Rigid Driver Licence
  • Manual Drivers Licence
  • Forklift Licence
  • WHS Construction Induction
  • Immunisations for Hepatitis, Tetanus and Q Fever (willingness to undergo)

Salary range: Grade 10 - $1,258.70 - $1,362.10 per week plus additional penalty rates for weekend work and 11.5% superannuation for a 38 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
