Permanent, Full Time 35 hours, 5 days/week $111,867 to $122,577 + Super + car allowance Moore street, Liverpool
JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead cost planning and quantity surveying services across Council's infrastructure portfolio, supporting capital works from planning to delivery. Provide accurate and timely cost estimates, benchmarking, and lifecycle costing to inform business cases, budgets and project prioritisation. Act as a key advisor to stakeholders, ensuring strong cost control, value for money, and alignment with long-term financial and asset strategies.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering (or similar) or equivalent experience
- Current Class C Driver Licence
- Strong experience in quantity surveying, estimating or cost planning, ideally within infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to prepare detailed cost estimates, cost plans and financial analysis across project stages
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, rates and market conditions
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes and infrastructure delivery frameworks
- Experience in lifecycle costing, value engineering and cost optimisation
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in estimating and analysis tools such as CostX, Excel and CAD-based software

Salary within the above-specified range, will be dependent on the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
