About The Role
An amazing opportunity exists for a Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer to join the Procurement and Contracts team at the City of Kwinana. This is a full-time position reporting to the Coordinator Procurement and Contracts, and working alongside a superstar team. Your primary focus will be providing advice on a range of procurement issues related to the acquisition of goods and services for the City in accordance with statutory requirements and City Policies/Guidelines. The role will also assist the the Coordinator Procurement and Contracts with mentoring the team and in the analysis, development, and delivery of best practice processes of the City’s procurement and contract management systems, through consistent monitoring and maintaining of its compliance, probity, accountability and transparency.

About You
To make an impact as our new Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer, you will need:

  • Substantial experience in coordinating and administering tender and contract processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of procurement and tender regulations, policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of purchasing principles, practices and financial functions.
  • Experience in developing specifications to a high standard that comply with the City’s legal, technical and contractual requirements.
  • Previous experience in procurement for some or all of construction, consultancy, ICT, minor works and goods and services contracts.
  • Experience in using Australian Standard contracts.
  • Experience working both individually and as a leader and mentor of team members.
  • Familiarity with the TechOne ERP system (desirable but not essential)
  • A tertiary qualification or diploma in procurement, business, law, or related fields (desirable but not essential).
  • Possession of a current, valid driver’s licence.
