Senior Engineering Designer

About the role

This role will see the successful candidate apply their professional experience in civil engineering principles to work collaboratively within the City Infrastructure Directorate to provide expert knowledge and delivery of high-quality civil engineering design solutions, design drawings, cost estimates and technical specifications to suit the project specific requirements.

As a Senior Engineering Designer, you will produce civil engineering design solutions, consolidate project data, undertake preliminary investigations, consult with internal and external stakeholders and apply risk management processes whilst considering constructability, financial, safety, social and environmental factors. You will have a sound knowledge of the Australian Standards and Austroads Guidelines and be able to apply these and other technical standards throughout the design process to ensure designs meet or exceed requirements.

About you?

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Extensive relevant project work experience (detailed designs for civil engineering infrastructure including but not limited to roads, roundabouts, stormwater, water mains, sewer mains, carparks, footpaths, and open spaces)
• Extensive experience and proficiency in computer-aided design, drafting and modelling software, in particular 12d Model, BricsCAD or AutoCAD
• Demonstrated experience in the application of engineering principles.

• Starting salary at $92,873.20 + Superannuation
