Description

  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of the City's water supply and infrastructure!

About the role

The City is seeking an experienced Leading Hand with demonstrated experience in the water and/or wastewater industry. The successful candidate will be competent in various operations that sustain the City's Water Reclamation Plants, Water supply and Treatment infrastructure, and be skilled in calibrating, maintaining and operating associated equipment to successfully carry out the required works.

As the Leading Hand Treatment, you will demonstrate a high level of communication and sound judgement in regards to leading and mentoring a team. You will also be supported by a passionate and knowledgeable team working together to maintain Coffs Harbour's water quality in line with the Environmental Protection Authority and associated Australian drinking water guidelines.

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in the water and/or wastewater industry including experience in water/wastewater treatment
  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (Water/wastewater Treatment) or willingness to obtain
  • National Construction Induction Certificate (White card)
  • Current minimum class C driver's licence.

  • Starting salary at $65K + superannuation and allowances
  • Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week
