Responsible for implementing key actions from the City’s Economic Development Strategy, you will also positively promote economic development, investment and business opportunities within the City.
A dynamic professional with economic and/or commercial property development experience, in either the private or public sector, you will build relationships with existing businesses, and market commercial and industrial opportunity to potential businesses, encouraging and enabling investment in the region. With previous experience in marketing for investment attraction, you are also able to analyse economic data and statistics to identify and develop growth opportunities.
To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:
- Comprehensive understanding of economic development principles, including current issues and trends, preferably in the Rockingham regionSenio
- Well-developed understanding of modern marketing tactics and trends, with specific reference to economic development and investment attraction
- Broad knowledge and understanding of businesses and industries in the Rockingham region
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with prospective investors and promote the City
We are offering a gross annual salary range of $108,076 - $115,081 per annum and:
- 11.5% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute up to a matching 5%
- A variety of health and wellbeing programmes including a physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $150 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
