As a Safety Partner you will work with, and alongside, the business on work health and safety matters. You will provide coaching and support to drive outcomes that result in not only a safe work environment, but also build a culture of workplace safety, which in turn helps to improve our organisations performance.  

Being able to build effective partnerships through strong customer engagement with both management and staff will be key, while also being responsive to operational needs and ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, code of practice, industry best practice and government policy.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Providing advice and recommendations to managers, business partners and employees on WH&S to drive a safety culture that will positively influence morale and achieve a safe and healthy work environment
  • Coaching, advising and directing the business on work health and safety legislation processes, practices and responsibilities
  • Working with your client group to identify and monitor safety, eliminate and/or control risks, reduce injury and illness and improve work health and safety performance
  • Identify, prepare, conduct and report on complex workplace safety audits and inspections
  • Establishing and maintaining effective business partnerships through customer engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $82,923 to $99,530 per annum dependent on skills and experience + 11% superannuation. 

A vehicle may be provided for official duties and private use leaseback in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. Alternately a vehicle allowance of $200 per week ($10,450 per annum) is also an available option.

Due to the specific requirements for this position, successful candidates will be required to be vaccinated for Tetanus.
