Mid-Western Regional Council is seeking multiple full-time Roads Labourers to join our Operations team, with multiple positions based in Mudgee and one position based in Rylstone.

Whether you already have experience in road construction or are looking to build on your practical skills, you'll join a supportive team working on projects that make a real difference to our community.

This is a Monday to Friday, day-shift position offering the benefit of a 9-day fortnight, giving you more time to enjoy everything the Mid-Western Region has to offer.

About the role

In this hands-on role, you'll work with a dedicated crew to:

• 
  Deliver road maintenance and construction projects across the region
  
• 
  Operate hand tools and small plant equipment
  
• 
  Undertake a variety of physical outdoor tasks
  
• 
  Work safely while contributing to a positive team culture
  
• 
  Participate in an on-call roster as required
  

About you

You'll be someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work and enjoys being part of a team.

To be successful, you'll have:

• 
  A current Class C Driver Licence
  
• One (1) years' experience undertaking manual labour associated with road maintenance or construction work.
• 
  The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  
• Competent skills in operating a wide range of small plant and equipment/hand tools
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety responsibilities and a commitment to attending relevant WHS training

The salary range for this full-time position is $2,240.20 - $2,372.70 gross per fortnight, plus superannuation, equating to an annual salary of $58,245.20 - $61,690.20, plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).
