We’re looking for a motivated, community‑minded Recreation Facilities Supervisor to oversee the operation of councils swimming pools and fitness centres, and play a key role in supporting other council services throughout the year.
About the role
You’ll manage the day‑to‑day operations of two seasonal aquatic facilities and two unmanned gyms, ensuring they are safe, clean, compliant, and welcoming for our community.
Key responsibilities

Supervise pool operations and lead casual aquatic staff.

Maintain water quality, plant operations, and facility presentation.

Manage seasonal rosters, including weekend work in peak periods.

Oversee gym safety, inspections, equipment servicing, and access systems.

Handle membership administration, customer enquiries, and basic reporting.

Support other Council departments during the off‑season.

Participate in a flexible time in lieu (TIL) system balancing busy summers with quieter winters.
