Description

The Package: $1,280.38 - $1,414.83 gross per week + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 7 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

Are you passionate about Information Management and love keeping things organised? Whether you excel in records management or bring strong administrative skills, we’re looking for a dedicated Records Officer to help ensure the integrity and accessibility of Council records while making a real difference in your local community!

In this role you will:

  • Make a real impact: Manage and assist with key processes to help the Council maintain compliance with legislative recordkeeping responsibilities.
  • Support staff: Provide valuable user training and advice on our electronic document records management system (One Council/ECM).
  • Become an expert problem-solver: Assist with administrative or information requests from staff and external stakeholders while supporting the secure, confidential handling of files.
  • Grow your skills: Contribute to the design and delivery of process improvements in records and broader administrative practices.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in records management, information management, or administration, with transferable skills in handling large volumes of information or supporting teams.
  • Has strong organisational skills and is comfortable working within a clear roster and structured tasks to meet established deadlines.
  • Is passionate about delivering excellent customer service—whether through resolving queries, delivering training, or optimising systems for user success.
  • Is confident with standard office programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and ready to learn electronic document and records management systems like One Council/ECM.
