Title: Rates Officer, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week
Salary Range: $80029.58 to $93006.52 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Our opportunity:
The key focus areas of this role include:
1) Work as part of a team in maintaining the rates database by the timely and accurate processing of amendments and updates as required, such as processing change of address and ownership, processing land title information and other changes as required to ensure that the rates database is accurate and up to date.
2) Provide accurate information and timely responses to internal and external customers in relation to rating and related matters through enquiries by phone, email or other means to ensure a high level of service, to maintain good customer relations and to ensure compliance with Council’s customer response timeframes and with legislative, policy or other requirements.
3) Maintain and demonstrate the ability to interpret, communicate and understand legislative, policy and other requirements relating to rating as well as an understanding of Council’s rating processes, functions and timeframes to ensure that Council delivers excellent customer service and a high-quality rating function in accordance with legislative, policy and operational requirements
